Junk Removal Locust Point

Junk Removal in
Locust Point

One narrow peninsula, two completely different jobs. On one end, the 24-story Silo Point condos — a converted grain elevator with a front desk, a freight elevator, and a COI requirement. On the other, blocks of marble-step rowhouses with no driveway and a full basement. We do both, flat photo-quoted: COI filed and elevator booked for the tower, the carry-to-the-alley included for the rows.

A peninsula with a high-rise on one end and rowhouses on the other

Locust Point is Baltimore in miniature: Fort McHenry at the tip, the Under Armour campus on the water, and housing that swings from a landmark condo tower to some of the tightest rows in South Baltimore. Everything funnels in over a couple of streets, so access is the whole game — and it changes completely depending on which end of the peninsula you're on. We're set up for both, and the flat photo-quoted price is the same promise either way: one number, everything included, no day-of surprises.

The tower lane — Silo Point & the condos

Silo Point — the 24-story luxury conversion of the old grain elevator — runs like any downtown high-rise: building management won't release the freight elevator without a Certificate of Insurance naming them (a $1M general-liability policy is standard), the elevator is reserved a day or two out with a loading window, and there's no curb to set a couch on. We carry the insurance, file the COI, book the freight-elevator window with the front desk, break down sectionals and bed frames to fit the service car, and bring it all down ourselves. None of that coordination is a surcharge — it's in the flat quote.

The rowhouse lane — marble steps, no driveway

Step off the tower and you're in classic Locust Point rows: brick, marble steps, full basements, no driveway and no curb setback. Whatever's leaving comes up the narrow interior stairs and out to the back alley or the permit block, and we do that carry as a matter of course. No driveway, no curb, no problem — the carry is already in the price.

What we clear on Locust Point

  • Silo Point & condo turnover — whole-unit clears between owners, COI and freight elevator handled, oversized pieces split for the service car.
  • Marble-step rowhouse cleanouts — move-outs and full-basement clear-outs carried out to the alley.
  • Single furniture & appliances — a sleeper sofa, a refrigerator, a washer, brought down without scarring the stairwell or the lobby.
  • Estate & downsizing clear-outs — a full home emptied on a schedule, donation-routed.

Does Baltimore pick up bulk trash here?

City DPW's bulk program takes three items a month, one Saturday, curbside only, scheduled through 311 — which does almost nothing for a peninsula like this. A Silo Point condo has no curb at all; a rowhouse has no driveway and marble steps between the door and the street. For a tower turnover, a basement, or anything over three pieces, on-demand full service is the realistic option. We come same-day where the building allows it, carry it out of the unit, and take more than three items in a single trip.

Where it goes after pickup

Condo and estate turnover here often means good furniture, and we route what's usable to Goodwill of the Chesapeake, The Salvation Army, St. Vincent de Paul of Baltimore, and the Habitat ReStore — with a donation receipt on request. Metal and mattresses are recycled where there's a stream, refrigerant appliances get their freon recovered, and the balance goes to the city transfer station.
