Junk Removal Federal Hill

Junk Removal in
Federal Hill

Federal Hill is Baltimore's postcard rowhouse district — two- and three-story brick rows with marble steps at the door, full basements below, and no driveway or curb to stage on. So the carry is the whole job, and it's already in the flat price: up from the basement, down the narrow stairs, and out to the rear alley. Photo-quoted, same-day when a slot's open, no stair fee.

Marble-step rowhouse, no curb, no problem

Around Cross Street Market and Federal Hill Park, 21230 is block after block of brick rowhouses with marble steps — front doors right on the sidewalk, no driveway, no curb setback, and a full basement under nearly every one. That's the access reality that makes the national franchises reach for their surcharge sheet: a per-flight stair fee, a heavy-item fee, an evening-and-weekend bump, all revealed once they've seen your basement steps. We don't work that way. We carry it up from the basement, down the narrow interior stairs, and out through the house to the rear alley — or we double-park on your residential permit block while we load — and the carry is in the flat price. No stair fee. No heavy-item fee.

Federal Hill and Riverside turn over fast — young professionals moving in and out, condos near the harbor changing hands, settlements on tight timelines. So the work is quick and repeatable: whole-rowhouse move-outs, full-basement cleanouts of decades of storage carried up the stairs, and couch-plus-mattress hauls before a closing. Send a photo, get one flat number that covers the labor, the carry, the truck, and the dump fee — and there's no Maryland sales tax on the service. Usable pieces go to Goodwill of the Chesapeake, the Salvation Army, or the Habitat Chesapeake ReStore.

What we haul in Federal Hill

  • Full-basement cleanouts — decades of storage carried up the narrow interior stairs and out to the alley, truck-fill priced.
  • Rowhouse move-outs — whole-house clears on a settlement timeline, couches and mattresses in one trip.
  • Couch & mattress hauls — a fast pre-closing pickup up from the basement or down from the third floor.
  • Harbor-adjacent condo turnover — Riverside and the waterfront-edge units, cleared between owners.

Does Baltimore City pick up bulk trash in Federal Hill?

Technically yes, but it barely helps here. Baltimore City DPW will take household bulk items by appointment — you book through 311 — yet the program is capped at three items a month, collected on one scheduled Saturday, curbside only, and set at least four days out. On a 21230 marble-step row there is no curb and no driveway, so "curbside" means you personally wrestling a sofa down the front steps and leaving it on the sidewalk along Light Street or Battery Avenue until the city's Saturday comes around. Three items won't empty a basement, and a single fridge or mattress burns the whole month's allotment. What we do is the inverse: same-day when a slot is open, no item cap, and carried out of the house — you never stage a thing on the steps. If the free city route is all you need for one piece, start with the DPW bulk line; for a real cleanout gone today, that's us.

Where your Federal Hill load ends up

A fast-turnover neighborhood throws off a lot of still-good furniture, and we keep what we can out of the landfill. Sound sofas, dressers, and tables go to Goodwill of the Chesapeake, the Salvation Army, the Habitat for Humanity Chesapeake ReStore, or St. Vincent de Paul of Baltimore; mattresses and scrap metal are recycled where there's a stream for them; and the balance goes to the city transfer station. On a full estate or downsizing clear-out we can leave you a donation receipt for the pieces that are given away.
