Baltimore Pricing

How much does junk removal cost in Baltimore?

One sofa is $126. A queen mattress is $103. A garage that’s quietly filled up for years is usually a half truck, $431. Every number below is what you actually pay in the Baltimore area — flat, quoted from a photo before anyone drives out, with carry-out, loading and disposal already inside it.

The minimum order is $75, and the quote you get already includes everything — labor, loading, disposal and tax.

✓Insured, vetted haulers
✓Same-day when a crew is free
✓Flat photo-quoted pricing
✓No hidden charges
✓COI support
✓Donation and recycling
✓No sales tax on the service

The two ways a job gets priced

Name the things and you get item pricing — a fixed price per piece. If you can’t, you get truck-load pricing: you’re paying for the space it takes up.

How fullPriceRoughly
1/4 truck$241a small bedroom — bed, dresser, a few boxes
3/8 truck$338a single-car garage’s back wall
1/2 truck$431the most common cleanout size we run
5/8 truck$513a two-car garage, or a small apartment
3/4 truck$587a garage plus a patio
7/8 truck$661a full two-bedroom clear-out
Full truck$732a whole-house load

What actually moves the number here

Less than people expect. Stairs don’t change your price, and neither does same-day. What moves it is weight, volume, and where the load has to go.

Curbside won’t come inside

The city’s bulk service explicitly won’t do basement or upper-floor carry-outs — and in this housing stock, that’s where the furniture is. It’s the single most common reason people call.

Renovation debris tips high

Quarantine Road takes construction and demolition material at roughly $135/ton, so remodel loads are priced by weight rather than by the room they occupy.

Rowhouse access

Narrow stairs, tight turns and no driveway are normal here. None of that changes your price — it’s the job.

The city takes bulk — from the curb only

Baltimore residents get scheduled bulk collection, and if you can get the item to the curb and wait for your day, it’s free.

The catch is the first half of that sentence. Getting a sleeper sofa up from a rowhouse basement or down from a third floor is the actual work, and the city service doesn’t do it. Neither does it handle vacant units or a closing date.

Baltimore pricing FAQs

Does the price change across the area?

No. Canton, Federal Hill, Hampden, Towson and Columbia all use the same flat list.

Will you carry it up from the basement?

Yes, at no extra charge — that’s exactly what the city’s curbside service won’t do.

Is renovation debris priced differently?

Yes, by weight — C&D tipping here runs well above household waste.

How fast can you come?

Same-day is normal when you book early, at the same price as scheduling ahead.

Is there tax added to the price?

No. A Maryland junk removal invoice from us has no tax line on it; the photo quote is the whole charge, with the $75 minimum as the floor.

Do I need to be there for the pickup?

Only if the crew needs to get inside. Alley-accessible rowhouse yards in Hampden or Canton, a Towson garage, a marked curb pile — leave it and we’ll text before-and-after photos.

Can you take things out of my basement?

Yes — basements are the most common Baltimore job we get. The crew carries everything up the stair, takes apart anything that won’t clear the turn, and the flat price already includes that work.

Why hire you if the City picks up bulk trash for free?

The City’s program is limited to three items a month, needs a 311 request at least four working days ahead, collects on a Saturday, and only takes what you’ve set out. We handle larger loads, anything still inside the house, renovation debris, and jobs that can’t wait.

Do you work in Baltimore County too?

Yes. Towson, Dundalk, Catonsville, Pikesville, Essex, Perry Hall and the rest of the county are covered at the same flat prices as the city.

Do you take renovation debris the City won’t collect?

Yes. Drywall, old cabinets, flooring and demolition leftovers are priced from your photo and hauled to a facility that accepts construction material.

Is there sales tax on junk removal in Maryland?

No. Maryland taxes goods and a closed list of services, and junk removal isn’t among them. Your quote for the service carries no sales-tax line.

How fast can a crew get here?

When a crew has an open window, same day is possible; otherwise you pick the next available slot when you accept the quote.
