Junk Removal Canton

Junk Removal in
Canton

Canton is two neighborhoods in one — rehabbed rowhouses around O'Donnell Square and genuine waterfront condos along Boston Street. We do both on one flat price: the rowhouse carry-up from the basement and out to the alley, and the condo job with the COI filed and the freight elevator booked. Narrow one-way streets and no curb are just part of the work.

Rowhouses and waterfront condos, one flat price

Around O'Donnell Square, 21224 is rehabbed brick rowhouses on narrow one-way streets — no driveway, no curb setback, full basements below — and just down the hill it turns into genuine waterfront condos: Canton Cove, The Anchorage, and the Boston Street buildings. That split is the whole reason to have a crew that does both. On the rows, we carry it up from the basement, out through the house to the rear alley, or double-park on the block while we load — the carry is in the flat price, no stair fee. In the waterfront buildings, we handle the Certificate of Insurance naming building management, reserve the freight elevator and the loading-dock window, and split sectionals for the service elevator when they won't fit.

Canton runs on young-professional churn — units turning over constantly as leases end and owners move up — so most jobs are fast and clean: rowhouse move-outs, condo turnover between owners, and couch-plus-mattress hauls. Send a photo, get one flat number covering the labor, the carry, the truck, and the dump fee, with no Maryland sales tax on the service. Usable furniture is routed to Goodwill of the Chesapeake, the Salvation Army, or the Habitat Chesapeake ReStore. Same-day is usually available.

What we haul in Canton

  • Rowhouse move-outs & basement carry-ups — whole-house clears around O'Donnell Square, up the narrow stairs and out to the alley.
  • Waterfront-condo turnover — Canton Cove, The Anchorage, Boston Street; COI filed, freight elevator booked, sectionals split for the service elevator.
  • Couch & mattress hauls — a fast single-trip pickup between tenants or owners.
  • Appliance removal — fridges, washers, dryers, with freon recovered where needed.

Does Baltimore pick up bulk trash in Canton?

The city offers it, but it was never built for a neighborhood like this one. Baltimore City DPW takes bulk items by appointment through 311, limited to three items a month on one Saturday, curbside only, scheduled four days ahead. On the rowhouse blocks off O'Donnell Square there's no curb to set on, and in the waterfront condos there's no putting a sectional out at the street at all — the associations don't allow it, and the freight elevator and loading dock are the only way anything leaves the building. Either way, a three-item Saturday doesn't cover a move-out or a condo turnover. We fill that gap with same-day, full-service pickup and no item cap, carried out of the row or brought down the service elevator — never staged on Boston Street.

What happens to it after we load

Canton's constant turnover means a lot of nearly-new furniture, and we route the usable pieces for reuse rather than the dump. Good sofas, tables, and dressers go to Goodwill of the Chesapeake, the Salvation Army, the Habitat Chesapeake ReStore, or St. Vincent de Paul of Baltimore; appliances have their freon recovered and their metal recycled; and whatever's left goes to the city transfer station. Ask and we'll leave a donation receipt for anything given away.
