Junk Removal Bolton Hill

Junk Removal in
Bolton Hill

Bolton Hill runs on two rhythms — the grand Italianate townhouses on its tree-lined streets, and the MICA students and faculty who fill the studios and apartments around them. We work both: the full historic-townhouse cleanout, and the art-school move-out with its canvases, easels and studio furniture. Tight permit parking and no curb to stage on are just part of the flat price.

Historic townhouses beside MICA

In the CHAP historic district around the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall and the Lyric (21217), Bolton Hill keeps some of Baltimore's grandest surviving 19th-century brownstone and Italianate townhouses — deep, three- and four-story homes with full basements, once home to F. Scott Fitzgerald. Established professionals live in them; a block over, the Maryland Institute College of Art fills the studios and apartments with students and faculty. That mix gives the neighborhood two very different jobs, and we're set up for both.

On the townhouse side, we do whole-home and single-room cleanouts — parlor floor to basement, carried down the original stairs, with usable pieces routed to donation and a tax receipt where it helps. On the MICA side, we clear studios and student apartments of everything an art program leaves behind: stretched canvases, easels, flat files, drafting tables, half-used materials, plus the usual mattresses, mini-fridges and cheap furniture. Either way you send a photo and get one flat number covering the labor, the carry, the truck and the dump fee, with no Maryland sales tax on the service.

What we clear in Bolton Hill

  • Historic-townhouse cleanouts — full three- and four-story homes, parlor floor to basement, carried down and donation-routed.
  • MICA studio & apartment move-outs — canvases, easels, flat files, drafting tables, studio furniture and leftover materials.
  • Mattresses, beds & sofas — the standard student and resident move-out haul, in one flat-priced trip.
  • Appliances — apartment fridges, mini-fridges, washers, with freon recovered where needed.

MICA move-out season

The art-school calendar drives a real spike here. As MICA's spring semester ends and again through the late-August lease turn, studios and apartments empty out fast — and a graduating painter or sculptor generates far more bulk than a typical renter. Book ahead for the May and August windows and we'll hold a slot; snap a photo of the pile and the price comes back flat, no walkthrough. Whatever's still good — a decent couch, a working mini-fridge, usable shelving — we route to Goodwill of the Chesapeake, the Salvation Army or the Habitat Chesapeake ReStore rather than the landfill.

Tight parking, no curb, no problem

Bolton Hill's streets are narrow, residential-permit only, and lined with townhouses whose front doors sit right on the sidewalk — there's no driveway and no curb setback to leave anything on. So we do what the neighborhood requires: double-park on the block or take the nearest legal spot and carry from the house. And unlike the city bulk program — which takes only three items a month, one Saturday, curbside, booked through 311 — we carry it out from inside, take as much as you need, and do it on your schedule.

What Bolton Hill customers say

★★★★★

"Graduated from MICA and my studio apartment was full of canvases, an easel, and a busted futon. They took all of it in one trip, flat price from a photo, and donated the couch. No stress during move-out week."

— Sofia R., Bolton Hill
★★★★★

"We cleared out my late father's townhouse off Park Avenue — three floors and a full basement of furniture. They carried it all down the old stairs, routed the good pieces to donation with a receipt, and double-parked since there's no curb. Handled it with care."

— Gregory A., Bolton Hill
★★★★★

"Permit parking makes this block impossible, but they figured it out and hauled an old sofa and bookshelves down two flights. Photo quote, same-day, exactly what they said it would cost."

— Nadia K., Bolton Hill
